David Kuten, M.D., F.A.C.C. grew up in Houston, Texas, and completed his undergraduate education at The University of Texas at Austin in the prestigious Plan II Honors Program. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, then completed his Internal Medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore — one of the most highly regarded training programs in the country.
Dr. Kuten returned to Houston for his fellowship training in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology at The Texas Heart Institute, a world-renowned center for cardiovascular medicine. During his fellowship, he was honored with the Tauber Award for Outstanding Cardiology Fellow — a distinction recognizing exceptional clinical skill, academic achievement, and dedication to patient care.
Dr. Kuten’s clinical interests span all aspects of noninvasive and interventional cardiology, with particular expertise in coronary interventions and the endovascular treatment of peripheral vascular disease. He has co-authored peer-reviewed publications on these topics. Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases, he brings a rigorous academic foundation and a deeply compassionate approach to every patient encounter.
