Kelly Shum, M.D. is a cardiologist dedicated to helping patients better understand and care for their heart health. She believes that great cardiology care begins with listening — taking the time to understand each patient's concerns, explaining complex heart conditions in clear and approachable terms, and working together to develop a treatment plan that fits each person's life and goals. Patients appreciate her thoughtful, thorough approach and her commitment to making them feel comfortable and informed throughout their care.

Her clinical work focuses on the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions including Atrial Fibrillation, Heart Failure, and Congenital Heart Disease, with additional expertise in cardio-oncology and women's cardiovascular health. Dr. Shum combines evidence-based medicine with a personalized approach to help patients prevent, manage, and better understand heart disease. She is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine, has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications on congenital heart disease and cardiovascular risk in oncology patients, and is affiliated with Baylor St. Luke's–The Woodlands Hospital and Baylor St. Luke's–Lakeside Hospital.
